I remember when I asked someone if she'd been to a house party, her reply was "I thought you had respect for me". Weird. Anyway, I came home from my second house party in about ten days or so. It's good to see that Rachel is happily settling into her new living space.

I'm keeping an eye on this. South Sudan was featured prominently in one of my fourth-year courses, and nothing I'm hearing about the situation is much of a surprise. I'm actually surprised the north of the country allowed this referendum to occur by any means, but it sounds like a lot of people on the outside worked hard to make it happen.
