I remember when I asked someone if she'd been to a house party, her reply was "I thought you had respect for me". Weird. Anyway, I came home from my second house party in about ten days or so. It's good to see that Rachel is happily settling into her new living space.

What a bemusing response.

It's not a description I often encounter since most parties are "house parties," and I can think of a few instances where additional context makes it clear that one is talking about something quite different. But on its own I don't know what's meant to be offensive...
