I suspect a new keyboard and mouse take precedent over new speakers. I'm doing fine with the speakers I have now, even though they were designed for an iPod, and a good headset plugged into the system ought to help me transcribe better.

The mouse is acting funny, though, like it registers more than one click per me physically clicking the button. It gets to be a nuisance when I'm trying to highlight text or drag-and-drop anything. It's probably damage from overuse or something, since as an obsessive gamer and also someone who uses the computer for work all the time, all the peripherals probably take a beating.

As for the keyboard, it's fine I guess, but I feel like the keys have gotten noisier or harder over time for less-than-smooth typing as a result. Again, the keyboard of all things would take a tremendous beating; the letters C K and L are wearing off and you can also spot wear-patches on the space bar. If this still works, though, it might not be a high priority for replacement.

I will enjoy a nice free Sunday. Then, it's back the usual on Monday. The usual could involve transcribing juggled with everything else, or not; it depends on whether people send me any.

Every single PDF needs to be re-converted to add a single URL, then uploaded all over again. I think I will have no trouble getting full time work out of that alone for at least a day.

Not sure what my New Year's plans are. If anybody wants to talk, I hope they speak up soon, before I make dodgy commitments to something I would less prefer instead.
