mellotron_breakfastStrongly considering spending ten days to two weeks in Ethiopia. Have several things bookmarked, including visa requirements and a handful of different destination summaries on TripAdvisor.
Small concerns:
-finding a time when it will least inconvenience freelance clients
-transportation within the country, probably will be bumpy bus rides and one or two domestic flights
-camera permit: there's a permit you have to pay for if you're there on business. I'm not, and just concerned about being hassled over my $1000 telephoto--doesn't look like a consumer model. Sites tend to say this restriction is focused on film/video and tourists don't tend to get questioned
That's all that's on my mind in terms of restrictions. I have no problem with the concept of needing vaccinations or anti-malaria medication, and the big expense of the trip is the flight.
