(no subject)

Yesterday was the day my internship should have ended. I can see why it would have been a good day for that, because February is Tax Month in Canada. All the claims are ramping up, and one job is beginning to interfere with the other.

All it really means is I'll be done in the remaining week and a half, instead of sooner.

I really did book a room at the Howard Johnson's on the 6th, at the end of the day. It cost less than dad's birthday dinner, not to be confused with Wayne Gretzky's birthday dinner which was probably more expensive and on the same day.

Anymore

Sleep loss is starting to take it's toll, as I'm laughing but no one's joking.

Yesterday was bad. I love German food, if it's cooked well, but something I consumed at that place must have involved butter or perhaps milk. I paid for it and not just with money; I was sleep deprived and the discomfort actually carries over to this very minute.

It could have been the non-alcoholic Beck's. It was non-alcoholic but... it's Beck's. Who knows?

I went to No Frills today. Every interesting snack in there has something I shouldn't eat.

Dad decided to get maple syrup. He saw me grin broadly at the bottle he removed from the shelf, and he said, "Don't look at me like that. You put it on your pancakes. You don't drink maple syrup."

"Anymore." I replied.
