On a lighter note, a couple of good friends got themselves interviewed.
One of the jobs I recently did actually involved tweaking a common algorithm for green screen removal; a company had a promotion which involved photographing people and sticking them in different places in the world, and the green screen had to be removed in "real-time" and with as few problems as possible. A typical story: what they got off the shelf/what was easily found failed to do the job, so they had to make improvements to it.
