Know Your Bearers!
The Lantern Bearers, a chapter out of a Robert Louis Stevenson collection. 1888, English personal essay style, about the importance of imagination in the world to children and adults.
The Lantern Bearers, a novel about Romans leaving Britain and the dawn of the Dark Ages or something, by Rosemary Sutcliff. 1959.
And with that, and my hair looking poorly--thankfully I didn't buy a full bottle of this product, as clearly I don't have the skills to use it--I'm going to hope it stops raining soon so I can leave.
