Thoughts as time passes
There's no break from the usual work pace, but then it's not a fast pace to begin with. Same physio appointments, same transcribing.
Dejected teenagers wearing Italian flags as capes, now, that's not something I'm used to.
Taking my own advice (CN)
I once left the forum a message saying the best way to secure long-term tech deals is to recruit someone into tLW. It's always easiest to trade with the people closest to you, and you're not going to go to war with your own ally when technically there's an outside chance of a dispute with any other alliance-group (in some cases, just a hypothetical possibility).
I've been one of only two people recruiting at all, and now I find myself working tech deals with two different people that I brought in. Since I recruited them with the promise of tech deals, and after the collapse of a 3x3 arrangement I need people to deal to me, I think it's a mutually beneficial arrangement.
A man of routines
My father always marveled at my "fastidiousness" when it came to pet care, especially when he would voluntarily take care while I was away. He didn't even try to get to the same level, but I never demanded that of him.
I don't think he fully understands that for me, feeding and cleaning after a pet got assimilated into my regular day. It wasn't that I thought, "I don't like cleaning this filthy wheel, but I shall choose to do the right thing", but that I would wake up in the morning and perform the daily cleaning tasks before most other things. It's part of a set of tasks I feel best doing every time I wake up at home, and in a specific order. On day three or four, I would take a sober look at the condition of the liner and then change that.
Now the thought process is, "I've brushed my teeth. The next thing to do is clean. Actually, no, I don't have to" or "It's getting to about 9 PM, I feel like there's something I should do, but no". It will take a bit of time to adjust to that.
Breach of routine doesn't give me a panic attack. It just gets noticed. Movies and television want to show you the most extreme examples of people behaving irrationally so you can wonder how people live like that; no fame involved in people who have a touch of something but are otherwise high functioning.
