Yesterday, my shiny refurb laptop arrived. Forgetting that I had already given the moniker to a new camera, I named it the Mark 3. I guess Mark 1 and 2 never went to production in this case, and all blueprints/CAD of them are forever lost to history. If they ever were to begin with, they're playing cards with the Avro CF-105 Arrow and Betamax, in some Otherworld where the souls of technological ideas and creations retire after they have been abandoned in the physical world.

Anyway, yeah. It's loaded up and here, and I've been battling to get the home wifi router to do what it was always designed to do: let more than one device connect to the internet at once. I don't need it to connect 50 devices. I would be happy with four connections at a time, to account for days when Ben is over with his iPad while dad downloads things onto his Kobo and mom wants to check e-mail and I need to work. Currently, either it's letting one person on consistently and excellently or it alternates between booting one device and booting another.

New things I have introduced to my diet are nut butters, on Alice's recommendation. The common-usage term "butters" is misleading when none of them contain any butter at all, just sunflower or canola oil and the nut/flavour. I just finished a pumpkin seed butter sandwich. When pumpkin seed butter is done, and it isn't a big jar, cashew butter and almond-hazelnut butter are waiting to be tried.
