A client sent me something in the middle of my revision shift yesterday, so I got it out of the way so I could focus on revising.

He replied inviting me to just show up to meetings in person and transcribe the actual discussion, because that's the only possible way I could have a faster turnaround.

It's worth a chuckle. Actually, in person, I couldn't slow his voice down to 60% of reality. It's not a matter of pain, but I already find myself at the limit of my fingers tripping over each other and hitting wrong keys.

It doesn't help that I will go back and change one wrong or omitted letter while the audio's still running, then chug away to catch up. It's how I've learned to work.

He speaks faster than any other client, too. On some of his past files, I reduced it to 55% speed.

While I'm public-posting, parts of this Valedictorian Speech made me nod knowingly.
