Plodding along through Friday
Mar. 13th, 2010 12:49 amThis day was particularly dull because no work came in before 8 PM and my plans are already set in stone for Saturday. Though parentals have been organized, no passport photos have been taken. I did fill out the BYID paperwork, but that would be just the half-page for which I am responsible and only takes a few minutes; it actually needs a guarantor for the other half. I'm currently working that out.
When work finally came, I processed 76 minutes of the main chunk (76/100 or 77.5/102, he erroneously broke the file in to three parts of which two are tiny) and think that I can get the rest done in about 45 minutes tomorrow. I won't have much time until I need to go, because a birthday party I mentioned doesn't just have 5:30 PM as an early bird time. The restaurant has reservations and people want to eat at 5:30 PM, a dry run for when we're 70 years young.
Those NaNoers are into their "Script Frenzy", but I prefer to keep the quasi-religious euphoria to one month in a year. Dad's nearly done the second manuscript and still reports enjoying himself, which might explain why he's gone through it so quickly. My "planning" for the third still consists of knowing a couple of key plot points at this stage, as well as characters who need names, returning characters who must now have some sort of minor conflict and chemistry, and different ideas for the novel's Ultimate End.
Oh, to be hugged; to be loved. In the meantime, I will have to settle for the cuteness of a hedgehog skin for FireFox, a creature which may be loved but most definitely doesn't want to be hugged.
